HOW DO I ARRIVE TO MY HAIR COLOR APPOINTMENT?

Please arrive to your hair color appointment with hair clean to ensure the color applied is able to completely process, allowing the color of interest to be fully achieved.

HOW MANY VISITS WILL IT TAKE TO GET TO MY DESIRED LOOK?

During the consultation for your hair coloring appointment, your professional will go into detail the steps that will need to take place in order to achieve your desired look. Depending on the hair color you begin with, your previous hair color history and, the color you are interested in achieving, more than one appointment may be needed to create your desired look, in an effort to maintain the highest quality of integrity to the hair. Please note that desired results may have to be altered once beginning services and/or require additional appointments after completion, that were not noted in the consultation, once seeing how the hair is responding to the lighter/color being applied. We want you to love your hair, but want to keep your hair integrity as our first priority. Within any alterations being made during the course of application, your professional will convey those alterations to you.

I BOXED COLORED MY HAIR YEARS AGO, IS IT STILL IMPORTANT TO MENTION TO MY PRO?

Yes! Please be honest in conveying your hair coloring history to your professional, as this will only help create the most efficient hair color application, which will then save you time and money. When our professionals are not aware of the full hair coloring history, even something that was done years ago, that old hair color applied may still have underlying pigments left on the hair, which may then result to the color and/or lightner applied not process correctly. Because it will take additional time and product to correct, this is an added amount to your quoted hair coloring service, that can be easily saved.

ARE THERE ANY AT HOME PRODUCTS I SHOULD USE TO MAINTAIN MY HAIR COLOR?

Yes! We recommend, and have available in the salon, a variety of shampoos, conditioners, hair treatments and styling products, to help extend the life of your new color. Additionally, your professional will recommend products for your hair specifically and, walk through how to recreate your new hairstyle at home.

HOW SOON SHOULD I MAKE MY NEXT APPOINTMENT?

As your professional is finishing up with your hair color service, they will note on how often you should schedule future visits, to maintain the overall look and feel to your new hair. Touch up appointments vary anywhere between 4 weeks and 10 weeks, depending on the color you recieve, you hair growth and at home hair care. As hair coloring appointments tend to be a bit longer in time due to the application process needed to achieve your desired look, we do recommend securing your next appointment during checkout, rather than waiting to schedule, to ensure you're able to request a day and time frame that works best for your schedule and, because our professionals do book up rather quickly.

HOW DO I ARRIVE TO MY LASH APPOINTMENT?

Please arrive to your appointment with lashes completely clean and free of any makeup or skincare products, to ensure the highest quality of application and longevity to the application.

HOW ARE LASH EXTENSIONS APPLIED?

Caidy Marie Beauty offers three different types of lash extensions, including classic, hybrid and volume. Classic lashes are an individual lash that adheres to an individual lash of your own, hybrid lashes are a mix of individual lashes and fan lashes, and volume lashes are fan lashes only. HOW OFTEN TO MY LASH EXTENSIONS NEED TO BE TOUCHED UP?

Lash extension touch up appointments are usually between two and three weeks, depending on how natural or dramatic of a set you have applied, as well as how you care for the lashes at home. Although the professionals of CMB do everything possible to ensure the longest lasting results, proper home care is even more important to ensure you are keeping the lashes clean and detangled.

WHAT IS THE PROPER AFTERCARE OF LASH EXTENSIONS?

To ensure maximum longevity to the lash extensions, avoid getting your lashes wet, applying any eye makeup or using any steam on or around the eye area, for a full 24 hours after receiving the lash extensions. Additionally to create long lasting results, avoid waterproof mascaras, harsh products to the eye area and, rubbing the eye area. Be sure to brush your lash extensions daily, by gently using the lash spoolie brush, provided to you at your lash appointment. Please also note that the salt within our sweat and tears can loosen the adhesive, and is best to keep the eye area as dry as possible. Additionally, we suggest not getting your lashes wet while swimming, as the salt in the ocean and chlorine in pools can also loosen the adhesive.

ARE THERE ANY AT HOME PRODUCTS I SHOULD USE ON MY LASH EXTENSIONS?

Yes! We recommend, and have available in the salon, a lash extension safe cleanser that is specifically designed for lash extensions, to ensure they are kept clean, while preserving the integrity of the natural lashes. We also have lash extension safe makeup products that will not create build up on the lash line, and are easily removed.

HOW MUCH RETENTION SHOULD I HAVE TO MY LASH EXTENSIONS WHEN COMING BACK FOR MY TOUCH UP APPOINTMENT?

As it's extremely important to follow the proper home care requested and required by your professional to ensure the highest level of retention, should you arrive to your scheduled touch up appointment with less than 40% of your lash extensions remaining, there may be an additional lash amount added to your touch up investment, in an effort to fill and create enough coverage on the lash line. This additional amount is a result to the added time and product needed to complete the touch up. Any additional amounts will be noted prior to beginning the touch up appointment.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I SCHEDULE A TOUCH UP LASH EXTENSION APPOINTMENT LATER THAN THE RECOMMENDED TIME FRAME?

To ensure the lash extensions are kept to the highest of quality, should you surpass your recommended touch up time frame, your lash artist will have to fill in an additional amount, which will result to added product and time. With this, your touch up appointment will be an increased dollar amount, which will be noted prior to beginning services. Please note that should you only have a few lash extensions remaining, those lashes may have to be removed, with a new full set of lash extensions then applied. With this,  your touch up appointment will then become a full set appointment, and will be the price of a full set.

WHAT IS A LASH LIFT AND TINT?

A lash lift and tint is broken down into two parts. The lift itself is the curling of the natural lashes to create a more eye opening overall look, while the tint is the darkening of the natural lashes, creating more depth within the lash line.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO SCHEDULE A LASH LIFT AND TINT APPOINTMENT?

As the lash lift and tint has best results for up to 6 weeks with proper homecare, we recommend scheduling 6 weeks after your initial visit to maintain the overall look and color to the lashes.

HAIR EXTENSIONS

HOW DO I ARRIVE TO MY HAIR EXTENSION APPOINTMENT?

To ensure the hair extensions are able to be properly installed, please arrive to your appointment with your hair freshly shampooed, using the clarifying shampoo given to you at your consultation. Be sure to not apply any conditioner to the root area, as well as any other hair products to the root area.

HOW LONG DOES MY HAIR HAVE TO BE TO WEAR HAIR EXTENSIONS?

We recommend 6 inches minimal to ensure a seamless blend is able to be created between the natural hair, and extension hair.

HOW LONG DOES THE ACTUAL HAIR TYPICALLY LAST BEFORE I SHOULD INVEST IN NEW HAIR?

The lifespan of hair extensions is anywhere from 3 - 12 months, depending on the type of extensions, the usage and how they are maintained at home.

CAN I USE STYLING TOOLS ON MY HAIR EXTENSIONS?

Yes you can! We always recommend applying a heat protectant spray onto the hair first, and then brushing through for even distribution. You would never put your hand in an oven without an oven mitt, so you never want to put your hair through that same trauma. Protecting your luscious locks is a top priority to ensure maximum longevity to the hair extensions.

CAN I SHAMPOO MY HAIR EXTENSIONS?

Absolutely, try staying away from shampoos with sulfate in them and use hydrating conditioners. Leave-in conditioners and heat protectants will also help prolong your hair extension lifespan.

HOW OFTEN DO I SHAMPOO MY HAIR EXTENSIONS?

ONLY shampoo your hair extensions when they look like they absolutely need it! As they are not attached to your scalp, they don't receive the same natural oils as our own hair does so,  there is no need to wash them as often as you wash your own hair. If you’re someone that is used to shampooing everyday, we recommend, and have available within the salon, Dry Shampoo for both light hair tones and dark hair tones, to help get you by from one shampoo to the next.

MY HAIR EXTENSIONS ARE SHEDDING, WHAT DO I DO?

Some shedding is normal within the first couple wears, just like your own hair! But if you feel your hair extensions are shedding excessively, please feel free to contact us.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I SCHEDULE A TOUCH UP EXTENSION APPOINTMENT LATER THAN THE RECOMMENDED TIME FRAME?

To ensure the hair extensions are kept to the highest of quality, should you surpass your recommended touch up time frame, your Bellami Hair Extension Professional may have to reinstall your extensions, rather than just moving them up. Doing so will involve removal of all hair extensions, with reapplication of the extensions to follow. Depending on what type of condition the hair extensions are in, new hair may be needed to continue extension applications. This is only to ensure the highly quality of service and care to both your natural hair and extension hair. Pricing for extended touch up visits, removal, reintilation, additional hair, etc. will vary.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH HAIR EXTENSION INSTALL METHOD IS RIGHT FOR ME?

After receiving more information about your hair goals during the consultation with your certified hair extension artist, your professional will then go over in detail which install option will be best to compliment your lifestyle, at home hair maintenance care and, in salon hair maintenance care. At that time they will also note any touch up, reinstall and removal appointments required, in an effort to maintain the overall look and feel to the hair extensions, in addition to preserving the integrity to both the natural hair and extension hair, while having the hair extensions installed.

SKINCARE

HOW DO I ARRIVE TO MY SKINCARE APPOINTMENT?

Please arrive to your skincare appointment with face free of any makeup, if possible. Although your licensed esthetician will be completely cleaning and exfoliating the skin, having the makeup removed in advance helps the products absorb better into the skin.

WILL I EXPERIENCE ANY TYPE OF BREAKOUTS AFTER MY FACIAL/CHEMICAL PEEL?

As impurities and build up are removed from the skin, this can sometimes bring to the surface minimal toxins that can cause slight whiteheads and/or pimples. This is a good thing! Your skin needs to have that deep cleanse to release the bacteria that was clogging your pores, so new cells can be created. Once receiving regular facials, and with proper home care, the after facial breakouts will subside.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD SCHEDULE A FACIAL/CHEMICAL PEEL?

As Caidy Marie Beauty offers a variety of facials and chemical peels to meet the needs of all skin types and textures, our skincare treatment recommendations vary between 2 week to 6 week appointments. During your skincare consultation, your licensed esthetician will be able to learn what your skincare goals are and recommend the best course of action in achieving those results.

IS THERE ANY SKINCARE AFTERCARE?

Although you will leave the salon with smooth, glowy, fresh feeling skin, it's important to not touch your face since those pores are newly opened, and exposure to bacteria can cause breakouts. We also offer a variety of at home skincare products, that are tailored to address all skin concerns including sensitive, anti-aging, brightening, prevention, so that you can continue your skincare journey in between appointments, for best results.

HAIR REMOVAL

HOW DO I ARRIVE TO MY HAIR REMOVAL APPOINTMENT?

Please arrive to your hair removal appointment with the area to be waxed completely clean and, with the proper amount of hair growth needed in order to proceed with the hair removal. Please contact the salon in advance to speak with our licensed esthetician about how much hair growth is needed at 810.417.0649, if you are unsure.

DO YOU OFFER WAXING FOR SENSITIVE SKIN?

Yes! We offer two different types of waxes, including hard wax and soft wax. Depending on your skin type, sensitivity and area being waxed, this will determine the type of wax that will be used. Please note all waxing sensitivities, as well as waxing history, to your professional prior to beginning services.

IS THERE ANY WAXING AFTERCARE I SHOULD BE AWARE OF?

We recommend not touching the area that was waxed, as well as applying any makeup, should the waxed area be on the face, for 24 hours to help limit any irritation to the skin. Additionally should you be receiving a spray tan, we recommend getting waxed at least 48 hours prior to your spray tan appointment to ensure even coverage to those areas.

MAKEUP

HOW DO I ARRIVE TO MY MAKEUP APPOINTMENT?

Please arrive to your makeup appointment with face free of any makeup. You may however, have applied any facial products you use on a regular basis. Additionally, please have prepared any photos of inspiration.

WHAT MAKEUP BRANDS DO YOU USE?

Our professionals use a variety of brands, all of which are professional. We use only the best quality of products, application brushes, false lashes and disposable applicators, to ensure the longest lasting results. Any products that are able to be waterproof, such as mascara and eyeliner, are applied. Additionally the makeup is set at the end of service.

DO YOU OFFER BOTH AIRBRUSH AND TRADITIONAL FOUNDATION? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? WHAT IS BEST FOR ME?

Yes! Our professionals do provide both airbrush foundation and traditionally foundation. The difference between airbrush foundation and traditional foundation is how each are applied. As the airbrush is applied with a spray, the traditional is applied by brush or sponge. Both the airbrush and traditional, when applied correctly and set correctly, will last all day and night long. The determining factor on which will be best for you is based on your skin type, texture and, desired level of coverage. Your professional will recommend which will be best for your skin prior to application. Should you want one over the other, please note that to your professional during your consultation.

ARE LASHES INCLUDED WITH THE MAKEUP APPLICATION? IF I DON'T WANT LASHES, DOES THE PRICE CHANGE?

False lashes are included with each makeup application. Your professional will have a variety of lashes with them that will include both natural and dramatic options. As the product cost for the lashes themself are so low, we essentially apply them complimentary. With that being said, should you not want the false lashes, the price does not change and therefore, remains the same.

MICROBLADING

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a form of a cosmetic semi-permanent makeup performed using a manual, disposable, handheld tool, with very fine needles resembling the shape of a blade, to hand draw each individual hair and simultaneously implant pigment into the skin.

HOW DO I ARRIVE TO MY MICROBLADING APPOINTMENT?

Please arrive to your microblading appointment with brow area clean and free of any makeup. Please be sure to of have followed all pre-appointment requirements, as your microblading service may not be able to take place without following all protocols. Should you have any questions in regards to the pre-appointment requirements, please contact the salon prior to your appointment at 810.417.0649 to speak to our microblading artist directly.

HOW LONG DOES THE INITIAL APPOINTMENT TAKE? THE 6 WEEK TOUCH UP APPOINTMENT TAKE? THE YEARLY APPOINTMENT TAKE?

As we want to ensure an even and detailed brow shape, the first microblading session takes 2-5 hours for best results. During this time your certified microblading artist will consult with you on the shape, color, at home care, future touch up visits, as well as create the actual brow shape and color. After that, your 6 week touch up appointment to perfect the brow shape and color takes 2-3 hours, with the yearly touch up appointment also taking 2-3 hours.

WHAT IS THE REQUIRED PRE-CARE FOR MICROBLADING?

As your microblading artist will provide you will all pre-care microblading requirements, it's additionally important to avoid excessive sweating the day of the microblading session. Additionally, do not tan the skin or have a sunburn, avoid any waxing, tinting, botox, filler or laser treatments to the eyebrow area and, eliminate any aspirin, vitamin, alcohol or caffeine intake 48 hours prior to your microblading session. It is critical that the required microblading pe-care is followed to ensure proper application.

WHAT IS THE REQUIRED AFTERCARE FOR MICROBLADING?

As your microblading artist will provide you with all aftercare requirements, it's additionally important to avoid getting the eyebrow area wet for up to 10 days, which includes keeping your face dry while in the shower, as well as not wearing makeup on or around the eyebrow area for at least a week, refraining from picking, touching or itching the eyebrow area, avoiding saunas, tanning salons, sun exposure, swimming and excessive sweating until the brow area is completely heeled, keeping hair away from the brow line and, applying the provided medicated balm to the brow area, as recommended by your microblading artist. It is critical that the required microblading aftercare is followed to ensure proper heeling and, longest lasting results.
